Hosted by WeNurses using #WeMDT

This chat is guest hosted by @NHSE_TEL

With simulation-based education in healthcare growing in both popularity and usage, Health Education England (HEE) has recognised the need for a nationally consistent approach that will encourage innovation, enable equity of access, whilst also providing value for money and ensuring the delivery of best practice. A national strategy is therefore being developed that will be locally led and delivered.  The drivers for the strategy are based on the Department of Health TEL wheel.

In this #WeMDT chat, we will explore the opportunities for simulation in your specialties and roles, its implications for ever-increasing inter-disciplinary, multi-professional teams, and what impact you feel this will have on your training moving forward.

As part of our ongoing work, we want to learn about your experiences within SBE, how you feel it has helped you develop in your career and how you would like to see it further developed, in order to ensure that everyone has a share of voice in the development of the strategy.

·               Give your views on what needs to be included within the HEE strategic approach

·               Share your experiences of simulation training

@WeMidwives It's the same problem IT professionals had (still have?) of using complex language to describe a concept. Those in 'the business' need to make language more accessible. Why are Apple products so popular? Because they have lost the 'techy' language and simplified interface #WeMDT

@NWSEN @WeNurses @sirmanfer I think we can change this by the power of example, to show the healthcare professionals what really is simulation based training, to actually participate, to be involved, to learn on your own "skin". Otherwise can be just presumed.#WeMDT
