How people experience care is something that is fundamental to what we do in health, listening to the views of those around us - the people we care for, their relatives, their friends, our colleagues, other health care professionals and anyone else who may be involved in the care - can improve and inform our practice and service.  But how often do we take time to examine the evidence behind experiences of care ? Why is it so important? And how can we share the evidence and importance on a wider scale? ...... How about a Twitter Storm ? A Twitter storm is an event on Twitter that takes place over a short period of time. The idea is that people share their links to evidence around a subject and retweet other people links to spread the messages far and wide.  The evidence links are shared via a hashtag so that they can be collated and shared as a whole after the event too.   We thought that a Twitter Storm during #ExpOfCare Week would be a great idea.

We want you to gather your evidence, and we are not just talking randomised controlled trials here! The picture below explains the types of evidence we would love to see you share:

Sometimes a single case study or opinion can be as powerful as a systematic review! And feel free to mix the media up a bit too - videos, journal articles, blog posts, podcasts, infographics (we could go on!) are all great ways to capture peoples attention about the importance of experiences of care.

The Twitter Storm will take place on Tuesday 24th April from 8pm - 8.30pm via #ExpOfCare and EVERYONE is welcome to share their evidence. There may be stormy weather ahead but we are definitely looking forward to it !
