Background
In April CNO Jane Cummings launched #70nursebloggers and #70midwifebloggers with her blog post "Celebrating 70 years of innovative care" The initiative aims to get 70 nurses and 70 midwives blogging to celebrate 70 years of the NHS - you can read more about #70nursebloggers and #70midwifebloggers and how to get involved HERE. The initiative is off to a flying start with lots of nurses and midwives, from all over the world, sharing some fantastic blog posts about the work they do. We have collated the blogs published so far into 2 Twitter moments:
#70nursebloggers... the blogs so far!
#70midwifebloggers ... the blogs so far!
And we have collated the bloggers so far into two Twitter Lists:
#70nursebloggers Twitter List
#70midwifebloggers Twitter List
This is all brilliant stuff !!! But we want to get even more of you blogging and sharing your perspective ... so in collaboration with NHS England we are putting on two webinars that will explore blogging as a nurse or midwife.
Here are the details for the first Webinar:
Why nurses and midwives should blog
This webinar is part of the #70nursebloggers & #70midwifebloggers series of webinars from WeCommunities and NHS England and will cover:
What is a blog?
What we need to consider as nurses & midwives who blog – NMC code, professionalism etc
What blogging can do for nursing
What blogging can do for you
Being brave and everybody has something interesting to say
Some good blogs to get inspiration from
The webinar is for nurses, midwives, student nurses, student midwives and any other people who identify themselves as being part of the nursing community and have an interest in blogging
We will be encouraging you to tweet via #70nursebloggers and #70midwifebloggers throughout the webinar - so keep one eye on Twitter too!
