Hi, our names are Aisha and Aneeqa and we are both 4th year pharmacy students.
We are conducting research on pharmacy staff experience using the new myGPhC website to submit online continuing professional development (CPD) records. To help with this we will be asking a series of questions during a #WePh tweet chat on Thursday 6th December.
All data collected will be kept secure and confidential. If data is included in the presentation or publication of our findings then it will be fully anonymised before reporting. Lastly, by responding to our questions during this Twitter chat, we take this as your consent to be part of our study.

Questions we will be asking
1. Firstly, could you introduce yourself, state your current job title, including the number of years’ experience you have as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician, and state if you have accessed the new myGPhC CPD records system. Could you also tell us, using the definitions below, which term best describes you in terms of technology?
- Innovator – I’ll sign up to buy before the new technologyhas been fully tested.
- Early adopter– I want to have the newest technology as soon as it hits the market.
- Early majority– I’ll buy while the technology is still new but I will not be at the head ofthe queue.
- Late majority– I’ll buy once the new technology becomes the norm.
- Laggard – prefer to avoid new technologies.
2. What were your initial thoughts on the new myGPhC website for revalidation, including the registration process? What were your thoughts on the transition from the previous method of recording CPD records?
3. What barriers (if any) have you encountered using the myGPhC website and how did you overcome these? Following this, what improvements would you suggest to the myGPhC website?
4. On a scale of 1-very good to 5-very bad, how would you rate myGPhC for user-friendliness?
What aspects of the new GPhC website do you like and what advantages do you think there are to new system?
5. In your opinion do you think your level of digital literacy has, in any way,affected your ability to use the website, mobile app or My CPD App?
