Getting to #WGT16

Monday 1st February 2016 by @AgencyNurse

Can you believe that its only 4 weeks until #WGT16 ? It's fast approaching and whilst our thoughts are turning to all those little things that will make the day go smoothly we know that your thoughts are turning to travel plans.  So we thought that we would just make sure that you all know where you are going and how to get there:

#WGT16 is being held at the University Of Salford - the university have donated their Maxwell Hall for the day which is a pretty amazing space and we thank them hugely for their kindness.

The address for Maxwell Hall is as follows:

Maxwell Building

University Of Salford

The Crescent

Salford

Lancashire M5 4WT

A map of the venue can be found HERE

The nearest train station is Salford Crescent and is a 6 minute walk from the venue (maybe 10 minutes if you are carrying precious cake for the #WGTBO !) For more travel details please see the University Of Salfords travel guide HERE

Of course some of you may be coming up the night before (Sun 28th Feb)  - if so then there are plenty of low cost hotels around Salford Quays (please see map HERE) This is about a half an hour walk (again allow for extra time if carrying cake!) or a 10 minute care journey, or a 20 minute bus ride (the 50 or 73 leaving form Trafford Road / Merchants Quay Stop C) If you are staying the night before then please do join us for the #WGT16 Social Event from 7.30 - 10.30pm at the lovely Lime Bar and Restaurant at Salford Quays. If you want to book tickets for the #WGT16 Social you can do so HERE

However you get to #WGT16 please travel safely and we look forward to seeing you all on the 29th Feb
